Bookings and Admissions
We look forward to meeting you and supporting you throughout this special time.
Prior to your booking, we encourage you to make a time to tour our facilities and meet with our experienced team. Our caring and experienced midwives and staff will be happy to provide you with further information about our quality, private Maternity Services.
Alternatively, you may wish to book in for one of our free 'Meet our Midwives' courses, offered as part of our Childbirth and Parenting Programs.
Bookings
Bookings in appointments are generally made between weeks 15-25 of your pregnancy. Admission to Gosford Private Maternity Services can only be made through one of our accredited Specialists.
Returning your Admission Forms
At your initial consultation with your Obstetrician, you will receive a welcome letter which will include a QR code with links to key resources and a copy of our Admission Form. Please complete the form as follows:
- Page 1: To be completed with your Doctor.
- Pages 3 to 10: Completed as best you can.
Once you have completed the Admission Form, please return it to us either by mail or in person.
Please note: if you are unsure about completing any of the sections on the form, this can be discussed further with our Maternity Services Coordinator at your Booking In appointment.
Booking In Appointment
A face to face Booking In appointment will need to be made by calling the maternity unit on 43043260.
This appointment will assist in making sure all your paperwork is correctly filled in and provide you with an opportunity to ask any questions you have about the birth of your baby and the service we provide. Partners are encouraged to attend.
This is my second baby at Gosford Private, do I have to book in?
Yes, however if you have previously had a baby with us and are familiar with our service, phone bookings are available.
When are appointments available?
Booking In appointments are available on Mondays and usually take 30-45 minutes. For those who work, we do have flexible appointment times from 7.30am- 2.45pm available.
When should I book in?
The Booking In appointment is usually done at around 20 weeks; however we welcome mothers-to-be any time from 12 weeks of pregnancy after having an appointment with their Obstetrician. We strongly recommend that you make your Booking In appointment as soon as possible, so that we can be fully prepared to support you with the birth of your baby.
