A warm welcome to our first baby born into our brand new Gosford Private Maternity Services ward
You may have heard the news but we wanted to confirm it, our special delivery has finally arrived. The new Gosford Private Maternity Services ward is open.
There’s nothing quite witnessing new life coming into the world and our Maternity team at Gosford Private Maternity Services couldn’t imagine a better way to celebrate the opening of our brand new ward than with the birth of our first baby.
Bateau Bay Couple Kurt and Cassie were our very first family to experience an individualised birth in our new, luxurious birthing suites earlier this week.
Indiana was welcomed into the world in one our spacious immersion baths under the guidance and care of Dr Peta Skilbeck and our skilled midwives
Cassie told us that they chose to birth at Gosford Private Maternity Services because they wanted individualised care for her pregnancy and birth journey.
“I didn’t want to be just another number, I wanted to receive a higher standard of care and we had some very specific ideas in mind for our birth plan,” Cassie said.
“It made all the difference that we could receive support and encouragement to birth how we wanted to with care and compassion.
“I love that the birthing suites don’t feel cold and clinical and instead feel really warm and intimate.
“We have been made to feel like a part of the family here and the individualised care has been consistent from birth to the postnatal ward.”
It’s been a big week for the Maternity team, transitioning existing parents into the new postnatal ward and welcoming baby Daisy Eleanor Florence as our first patient in our Level 2 Neonatal Special Care Nursery.
In addition to inviting new prospective parents to their first Booking In appointments and day assessments in the new ward.
Maternity Unit Manager Robyn Gaaparotto said it has been an absolute dream to share the new ward with families.
“This world class facility has been designed and developed with families in mind, to offer intimate, individualised and comfortable care in luxurious surrounds,” Ms Gasparotto said.
“We’ve had an amazing first week and we are so proud to be offer premium care to families in the Central Coast’s only private maternity service.
“We look forward to helping Central Coast families to begin their life with us in our brand new ward!”
The premier, purpose-built maternity ward includes 12 plush postnatal suites including pull down Murphy Beds and three spacious, exquisitely appointed birthing units including immersion bath, monsoon shower and partner accommodation.
