Celebrating a new chapter for Gosford Private Maternity Services
The Gosford Private Maternity Services team took a moment recently to celebrate the opening of the brand new, state-of-the-art ward with our team and specialists.
In the rush of opening doors and welcoming first families, births and babies, the Gosford Private Maternity Services took some time recently to mark this new chapter with an evening of cake, canapés and conversation.
Maternity Nurse Unit Manager Robyn Gasparotto said the gathering was an important moment to reflect and celebrate all that has been achieved to date.
"In the short time since opening we've welcomed 23 beautiful babies into the world, our birth units are full and our ward is bustling with life and learning as new parents start their journey into parenthood," Ms Gasparotto said.
"We can't wait to welcome more families to begin their new lives with us as we continue to deliver exceptional care in our beautiful new ward."
As part of the evening's activities, one of our longest serving Midwives Arlene shared some reflections on how the service has changed over the years.
"I've seen the service evolve over time and so have we and the families we care for," Arlene said.
"It's amazing to see the next generation of midwives rise up through the ranks and while they're learning, they also have so much to teach us.
"So much has changed but much has stayed the same like how much midwives give of themselves to the families they support.
"It is incredible to be here to witness this new chapter and adventure which lies ahead."
Many of our Obstetric and Paediatric specialists were in attendance alongside the maternity and executive leadership team.
Robyn thanked all who attended and wanted to share the following message.
"Thanks to everyone who has been so supportive and understanding while we undertook this transformation journey," She said.
"We are so excited to be offering the newest and only private maternity service on the Central Coast and are looking forward to continuing to grow this service to meet the needs of families in the region."
