The countdown is well and truly on for when Central Coast families will be invited to experience extraordinary care in the region’s only and newest, dedicated private maternity unit at the new Gosford Private Hospital re-development.
The premier, purpose-built Gosford Private Maternity Services ward has been designed with care, comfort and families in mind.
Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and technology including a Level 2 Neonatal Special Care Nursery and qualified Neonatologists, Paediatricians and Obstetric Specialists it will provide specialist support for babies who need special care following birth.
According to Maternity Unit Manager, Robyn Gasparotto, the new ward will offer families a birthing experience that combines the best of both worlds; a home-like birthing setting, staffed by an experienced and skilled Midwifery team.
“We recognise that this is a very important and special time in the lives of our patients and their families,” Ms Gasparotto said.
“They deserve the best experience possible throughout their pregnancy and in the precious first days after birth.
“Our team are dedicated to delivering the premium care and support they need through inpatient education, around the clock support and unmatched comfort in a both our birthing and postnatal suites.”
Due to open in May 2021, the new ward will include a bathing demonstration room, antenatal assessment rooms and a purpose-built education hub for patients in addition to exquisitely appointed birthing suites, which feature luxurious deep baths to facilitate water immersion births.
Following birth, the postnatal suites will each include their own spaciously designed ensuite and pull down Murphy beds for partners, offering the ideal nurturing and calming setting for parents to start their journey as a new family.
