Gosford Private Maternity Services is inviting the next generation of Midwives to join the Central Coast’s only private obstetric unit as part of the New Graduate Midwifery Program.
The program provides graduates with the opportunity to strengthen their midwifery skills within a supportive and highly experienced team dedicated to woman centred care.
Gosford Private Maternity Services Nurse Unit Manager Elisabeth Herbert said supporting the next generation of midwives is something the team takes seriously.
“Through collaborative team work across all areas including our state of the art birthing unit, postnatal wards, day assessment unit and Level 2 Neonatal Special Care Nursery, our graduate participants learn and develop critical abilities,” Ms Herbert said.
“Through mentorship, on the job learning and practical guidance, our midwife graduates are given the tools and support to strengthen their abilities, empowering them to deliver the highest quality care for birthing women and their families.
“Being a midwife is what many would consider to be a life calling and it is a privilege to be part of the journey of our women and their partners, from pregnancy through to birth and postnatal/newborn care.

The premier, purpose-built Gosford Private Maternity Services ward includes 12 plush postnatal suites including pull down Murphy Beds and three spacious, exquisitely appointed birthing units including immersion bath, monsoon shower and partner accommodation.
The unit comprises of a team of 12 Obstetric, Paediatric and Neonatology specialists as well as an experienced team of dedicated Midwives and mother craft nurse who are passionate about woman centred care.
